Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2320 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

Additional Details:

Special Requests: We cannot consider travelers employed (FT, PT, or Per Diem) by Cayuga Health or its affiliate, Schuyler Hospital within the past 12 months.

Required Skills/Experience: Ability to read basic rhythm strips prior to arriving at the facility.

Unit Details: Works within primary and team nursing models. High-acuity stroke telemetry/medical-surgical unit caring for acute stroke and complex telemetry patients. Perform and document frequent neurological assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale. Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to changes in real time. Ensure compliance with stroke core measures, including dysphagia screening, education, and care plans. Uses BCMA standards for medication administration. Coordinate care with providers, therapy, and case management. Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a high-turnover environment.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years
