Experienced Mainframe Software Development Engineer in Test

Job Description Summary Experienced Software Development Engineer in Test who plans, designs, develops, and executes tests for software enhancements and fixes/patches. The role involves full‑stack, end‑to‑end testing for UI, mid‑tier, and backend mainframe components in an Agile development environment. Responsibilities Perform validation and verification testing of new features and product fixes. Develop and execute high‑quality software tests in a continuous integration environment. Develop, implement, and maintain robust test automation pipelines. Assess code coverage and identify / resolve testing gaps. Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting. Ensure test pipelines are up to date with latest technologies. Collaborate and provide Quality Assurance subject matter expertise in an Agile team environment. Coordinate with management and internal teams. Desired Technical Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related experience. Master’s degree and 6+ years may be desirable. Strong experience in test planning, design and analysis. Experience in many different types of functional and non‑functional testing. Automated testing experience. At least basic level of one or more of the following: Java Python Familiarity with DevOps concepts, practices and tools (Jenkins is a plus). Experience with project management / bug‑tracking software such as JIRA or Rally. Experience in Mainframe concepts is a plus. Relevant certification (ISTQB is a plus). Compensation and Benefits Annual base salary range: $108,000 - $172,800. The position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and equity in accordance with corporate plans.
