Led by a successful and experienced entrepreneurial team, RayzeBio aims to be the global leader in radiopharmaceuticals Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Associate Scientist to join our growing Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) team. This is a hands-on, laboratory-based role (100% on-site) focused on executing in vitro ADME assays to support drug discovery and development programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative, with strong communication and documentation skills. Key Responsibilities Perform routine in vitro DMPK assays, including: Plasma protein binding (PPB) Plasma stability assays Execute experiments using established protocols (e.g., equilibrium dialysis-based methods) to assess drug binding, which is critical for understanding drug distribution, efficacy, and clearance Analyze and document experimental data with high accuracy and attention to detail Prepare clear, concise experimental records and summary reports Maintain organized laboratory notebooks and data systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project timelines and deliverables Contribute to maintaining a high-quality, efficient lab environment Uses AI tools to enhance individual productivity and quality of work Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biology, or related field) Hands-on laboratory experience in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or academic setting Experience with LC-MS/MS analysis is required Strong organizational, documentation, and data integrity skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team Preferred Qualifications Experience with plasma protein binding assays, particularly using HTD (equilibrium dialysis systems) Familiarity with additional in vitro ADME assays Experience working in a fast-paced drug discovery environment What We Offer A collaborative, science-driven environment with a strong team culture Opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge radiopharmaceutical therapies Exposure to innovative drug discovery programs in a rapidly growing biotech company Why Join RayzeBio At RayzeBio, we are committed to advancing transformative therapies for patients with cancer. Compensation Overview: San Diego - RayzeBio - CA: $95,505 - $115,730 The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience.
