Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 8-week contract with every other weekend requirement. Patient ratio 1:4-5. Holiday availability required every other holiday as needed.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit providing stepdown-level care for adult and geriatric patients including long-term pulmonary conditions, ENT surgery, and post-surgical patients requiring intermediate monitoring
• Work at a 528-bed Magnet-recognized acute care teaching facility with Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center certification
• EPIC charting system with 16 hours of orientation provided
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• Floating required within skillset to ICU and/or Medical-Surgical units
• Pre-approved time off available with advance request submission

Requirements:

• Active New York State Single State RN license required prior to submission (New York is not a Compact state; pending licenses not accepted)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory
• Telemetry and progressive care/stepdown unit experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response protocols
• Experience with blood product administration, central and peripheral line management, IV therapy, and cardiac drip management (non-titration)
• Competency with oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility location
• Candidates must not request more than 10 days of time off during the contract period
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
