Desktop Support Technician - Kauai

Overview TEKsystems is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to support a large healthcare client in Lihue, Kauai. This role will be focused on a PC Lifecycle Replacement project, assisting with the deployment of new systems and decommissioning of legacy equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with desktop support, imaging, and troubleshooting, along with strong customer service skills to support end users in a clinical environment. Responsibilities Image, configure, and deploy new desktop and laptop systems Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on end‑user devices Decommission and properly dispose of outdated equipment Provide on‑site technical support to healthcare staff and end users Assist with inventory tracking and asset management Ensure all work is completed in alignment with project timelines and standards Perform additional technical support duties as assigned Required Skills & Qualifications Basic experience with hardware and software troubleshooting Experience with imaging and deploying devices (e.g., SCCM, MDT, or similar tools) Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally when moving equipment Contract Details Duration: 6‑month contract to start, with potential for extensions Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
