AWS Cloud Architect - Tampa (Hybrid) - $180K

Tampa | Hybrid *Unable to sponsor. Must be local to Tampa or willing to relocate within 90 days.

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect (AWS) to design, automate, and optimize secure, scalable cloud infrastructure that powers our SaaS platform. The ideal candidate is a hands-on cloud expert with deep AWS, Terraform, DevOps, and automation experience who thrives in building reliable, compliant, cloud-native solutions within a platform environment.

This person will be strong in AWS Cloud multi account environments and AWS certified .

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, highly available AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
\n
• Modernize cloud platforms through containerization (ECS/Fargate), serverless technologies, and cloud-native architecture best practices.
\n
• Manage AWS networking, multi-account governance, and cloud services including EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Direct Connect, VPN, and AWS Organizations.
\n
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure tooling using GitHub Actions, Python, Shell scripting, and AWS Lambda.
\n
• Implement observability, monitoring, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices using CloudWatch, Datadog, and AI-assisted operational automation.
\n
• Ensure cloud platforms meet compliance and security best practices through policy-as-code and infrastructure automation.
\n
• Optimize cloud performance, scalability, reliability, and cost through capacity planning and FinOps initiatives.
\n
• Lead troubleshooting, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous platform improvements.
\n
• Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions supporting SaaS applications.
\n
• Mentor junior engineers and promote cloud engineering, automation, IaC, and operational best practices.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; AWS Solutions Architect – Associate certification required (Professional certification preferred).
\n
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud architecture, DevOps, or platform engineering experience supporting production SaaS environments.
\n
• Expertise designing AWS infrastructure using Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, ECS/Fargate, Lambda, EC2, and AWS Systems Manager.
\n
• Strong experience with Python, Bash/Shell scripting, GitHub Actions CI/CD, CloudWatch, Datadog, and cloud automation.
\n
• Experience designing AWS networking (Direct Connect, VPN, PrivateLink), managing cloud databases (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache), and implementing multi-account governance.
