Job Summary

A growing consumer packaged goods manufacturing environment in Kent, WA is seeking an experienced Customer Service Manager for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who enjoys building strong account relationships, solving order and delivery challenges, and working closely with cross-functional teams to keep customer commitments on track.

The Customer Service Manager will serve as a key point of contact for important customer accounts, partnering with Sales, Production, Planning, Shipping, Purchasing, and Finance to ensure orders are accurate, timelines are communicated clearly, and customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage key customer relationships from order entry through delivery, ensuring accurate communication and follow-through.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Shipping, Purchasing, Sales, and Finance to support order fulfillment, inventory availability, and delivery timelines.
- Monitor order status, backorders, customer requests, and issue resolution to maintain high service levels.
- Support Sales with pricing, quotes, forecasts, special projects, and customer account needs.
- Ensure accurate order processing and customer account activity within the ERP system.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, internal communication, and customer service processes.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $75,000 to $85,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage customer accounts and key relationships in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Coordinate order fulfillment, production schedules, inventory availability, and shipping timelines.
- Resolve customer concerns while protecting strong client relationships and internal partnerships.
- Support sales, forecasting, quoting, and cross-functional customer service initiatives.

- 5+ years of customer service management, customer account management, or key account management experience.
- Experience in food manufacturing, food distribution, beverage manufacturing, packaging, consumer packaged goods, or a related manufacturing industry.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with order, inventory, and customer data.
- Excellent communication, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to coordinate across multiple departments in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting high-volume customer accounts in a consumer packaged goods manufacturing environment.
- Background working closely with production planning, shipping, and sales teams.
- Experience improving customer service workflows, order accuracy, or internal communication processes.
