This role is responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining tooling used in high-precision deep draw stamping operations, while supporting tooling performance, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency./ppThe ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in tool and die work, EDM operations, precision machining, and problem solving within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional who enjoys working with complex tooling systems and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that support critical manufacturing operations./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliBuild, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain dies and tooling used for precision deep draw stamping operations/liliSet up and operate wire and sinker EDM equipment to produce and repair high-precision tooling components/liliInterpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and technical specifications to manufacture tooling to exact tolerances/liliPerform precision machining operations including grinding, milling, turning, polishing, fitting, and finishing as required/liliInspect completed tooling components using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications and tolerances/liliSupport tooling modifications and continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturability, uptime, quality, and operational efficiency/liliCollaborate with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams to diagnose and resolve tooling and manufacturing issues/liliMaintain accurate documentation related to tooling repairs, maintenance activities, and process improvements/liliAssist with preventative maintenance programs and tooling inventory management/liliEnsure compliance with all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade school certification preferred/lili3+ years of experience in tool and die, die making, precision machining, EDM operations, or related manufacturing environments/liliStrong knowledge of tooling construction, machining processes, and precision measurement techniques/liliAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GDT, and technical specifications/liliProficiency using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges/liliStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills/liliAbility to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment/liliStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship/li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications/h3ulliExperience in medical device, aerospace, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments/liliCNC programming and/or CAD/CAM experience/liliFamiliarity with eyelet tooling, progressive dies, or precision deep draw stamping applications/liliLean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience/li/ulh3What Youll Bring/h3ulliA hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to tooling challenges/liliStrong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams/liliA commitment to precision, craftsmanship, safety, and continuous improvement/liliThe ability to identify opportunities to improve tooling performance and manufacturing reliability/li/ulh3About Cadence/h3pCadence is a leading contract manufacturer specializing in precision components and assemblies for the medical device and life sciences industries.
