Explore an opportunity to lead a nationally recognized program shaping the future of vascular care, innovation, and academic surgery.
The OpportunityThe Department of Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (LKSOM) and Temple University Hospital (TUH) invite applications from an accomplished vascular surgeon to serve as Division Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery . This is a senior leadership opportunity to guide a high impact, academically driven vascular program that is nationally recognized for excellence in both open and endovascular surgery within a mission focused health system.
The Temple Vascular Division is a dynamic, multi-campus academic program delivering high-volume, high-acuity vascular care across Temple Health. With a strong educational mission, expanding research infrastructure, and deep community engagement, the division offers an exceptional environment for surgeons seeking a balanced career in clinical excellence, academic advancement, and innovation. Temple Health’s Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery provides comprehensive, tertiary- and quaternary-level care across the full spectrum of vascular disease, with expertise in complex aortic pathology, carotid disease, dialysis access, peripheral arterial disease, vascular trauma, and venous disorders. Care is delivered at Temple University Hospital and multiple Temple Health community sites. The division offers advanced open surgical procedures and state-of-the-art endovascular therapies with access to newly renovated hybrid operating rooms. Close collaboration with cardiology, interventional radiology, podiatry, wound care, and critical care ensures integrated, patient centered care. Positioned for strategic growth, the division is poised to expand clinical services, strengthen regional referral networks, lead innovation in endovascular and hybrid procedures, and enhance its educational and research missions.
Temple University Hospital supports a two year, ACGME accredited independent fellowship in Vascular Surgery, contributing to a robust academic environment and a strong pipeline of future vascular specialists.

Through visionary leadership, a commitment to an inclusive and collegial culture, and dedication to Temple’s mission of service, the Division Chief will guide the program in delivering equitable, high quality vascular care while carrying forward the legacy of Temple University’s founding President, Dr. Russell Conwell, whose belief in opportunity, community, and service continues to shape the institution today.
