Senior Product Manager - Clinical Quality

Role Description

We're hiring a Senior Product Manager to own the systems and capabilities that ensure Foodsmart delivers high-quality, safe, and efficient care at scale. This role sits at the heart of our clinical operations — owning the tools, workflows, and guardrails that allow our Registered Dietitians to do their best work, while ensuring the integrity and safety of every member interaction across the platform.

Your primary customers are the clinical team, care operations, and the Registered Dietitians delivering care every day — but this isn't a purely internal role. The work you do shapes what members experience: safer care delivery, higher-quality RD interactions, and a clinical model that can scale without cutting corners. You'll work closely with Clinical Operations, Engineering, and Data to eliminate friction in RD workflows, build & embed AI-assisted tooling thoughtfully, and build the safety mechanisms that allow Foodsmart to scale its clinical model without sacrificing quality.

This role is ideal for a product manager who finds deep satisfaction in scaling impact by making expert users more effective and brings a structured, evidence-informed approach to clinical tooling. Especially in AI-assisted care and clinical safety, the questions are genuinely hard and the stakes are real. You don't need to be a clinician — but you need to listen like one.

You will:

• Clinical Tooling & Workflow Ownership:
  • Own the roadmap for the Clinical Quality & Safety pod with a clear mandate: make Foodsmart's RD workforce more effective, raise the quality bar of care delivery, and build the safety infrastructure that lets the clinical model scale.
  • Work closely with Clinical Operations to deeply understand RD workflows, identify friction points, and translate them into prioritized product improvements.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data to define, build, and iterate on AI-assisted clinical tools.
  • Define and track quality and efficiency metrics: session completion rates, RD time-on-task, documentation accuracy, and other indicators of clinical operational health.
• Safety & Quality Systems:
  • Own the product-side of Foodsmart's clinical safety framework — the guardrails, escalation pathways, and quality checks embedded in the platform that protect members and support clinical judgment.
  • Partner with Clinical Leadership and Compliance to translate regulatory requirements and clinical standards into scalable product features.
  • Build and maintain feedback loops that surface safety signals from care delivery into the product roadmap — ensuring issues are caught, addressed, and prevented systemically.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work with Data and Engineering to build instrumentation and measurement frameworks that track clinical quality outcomes across the member journey.
  • Collaborate with adjacent pods to ensure clinical quality considerations are embedded in new member and client experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with time spent on internal tooling, clinical operations, or workflow-oriented products.
• Experience owning a product area end-to-end with meaningful autonomy — from discovery through launch and iteration.
• Comfort working on AI-assisted features or workflow automation — you don't need to be an ML engineer, but you need to be a thoughtful product owner in this space.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using data to guide product decisions and measure clinical or operational outcomes.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and cross-functional delivery in fast-paced environments.

• Comfortable at the intersection of product and clinical operations — you can hold a conversation with a dietitian, a compliance officer, and an engineer on the same day.
• Execution-oriented with a bias toward simplicity — you know that in clinical contexts, a clean, reliable tool beats a feature-rich one that introduces risk.
• A clear communicator who can translate clinical complexity into crisp product requirements and explain product decisions back to clinical stakeholders.
