Consilio's direct hire recruiting team is working with a highly regarded boutique firm that is seeking to hire an Associate Attorney to join their team. This position is not with Consilio directly; it is a direct hire, permanent opportunity with the law firm. About the Role: We are working with a leading California litigation firm that is dedicated to defending automotive manufacturers and dealers in Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act ("Lemon Law") claims and related consumer warranty disputes. Their team of attorneys are recognized for combining deep statutory knowledge with practical, business-minded case strategy, and for building long-term relationships with the manufacturers and dealer groups they represent. The firm is hiring an associate to join their lemon law/warranty defense practice, with remote flexibility. This role will manage an active docket of Song-Beverly and related consumer warranty matters from intake through resolution, working closely with partners, clients, and outside experts at every stage. Responsibilities include: Manage a caseload of Song-Beverly / Lemon Law and related consumer warranty matters from filing through resolution or trial Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, dealer witnesses, and technical experts Draft and argue dispositive and discovery motions Communicate directly with manufacturer and dealer clients on case strategy and status Coordinate with technical and industry experts on vehicle defect analysis Manage discovery, including written discovery, document production, and expert disclosures Evaluate cases for early resolution versus litigation strategy, balancing exposure against client objectives Support partners on trial preparation and, as experience develops, take an active role at trial About You: Required: J.D. from an accredited law school Active member of the California State Bar in good standing 1+ years of civil litigation experience Preferred: Prior experience with Song-Beverly Act, Lemon Law, or automotive/product warranty defense Working knowledge of California civil procedure and evidentiary rules Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills Comfort managing a high-volume docket with competing deadlines A collaborative, team-first approach paired with a willingness to take independent ownership of matters What the Firm Offers: Competitive compensation commensurate with experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance Firm-paid life and disability insurance 401(k) with employer contribution Paid parental leave Hybrid work schedule with the option for full remote work Direct mentorship from experienced trial partners, with a clear path to greater case ownership ELS Consilio, LLC's Direct Hire Division staffs positions for Consilio clients and does not staff for internal corporate positions at Consilio.
