RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in telemetry unit with patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Care for adults to geriatric patients with diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypertension/hypotension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues
• 36 rooms with average daily census of 35
• Required to work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
• May be required to float within facility/scope of practice as needed
• No call requirements
• Must work major holidays if they fall during assignment period
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (NIH preferred)
• 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Must use Epic charting system, Pyxis, and SBAR
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
• RTO blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Must manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration including milrinone, dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lidocaine, Bumex, and Heparin
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, cardiac care, blood product administration, central line care, IV management, and wound care
• 12 hours of orientation required
• Full compliance required to start on time
