Job Description

Come join Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center and new CV Surgeon, Dr. Danny Ramzy! Volumes are increasing, and Dr. Ramzy is growing the CV service line by conducting more innovative robotic surgeries.

This is an 18 bed CVICU that supports patients from the ER to the Cath Lab to the ICU (supporting patients all over the campus). You will work closely with our Cardiologists and Heart & Vascular surgeons. As an Advanced Practice Provider and overseen by the CV Service line group, you will see patients from pre-op to discharge (through their continuum of care) which will help us provide better patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the State of Texas; Masters of Nursing preferred
• Graduate of an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the State of Texas if area of intended practice is Trauma; Master of Nursing preferred
• Current State of Texas license to practice professional nursing
• Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center or National Certification Center in area of specialty or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners or the American Certification of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification
• Certified in Basic Life Support
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) OR Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Certified in ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) if area of practice is Trauma within 6 months of hire date
• Two (2) years clinical nursing experience in area of intended practice
