Mainframe Program Manager

Overview Job summary : We are seeking a seasoned Program Manager with 14 to 18 years of experience to lead our Mainframe Modernization projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Mainframe Utilities, CICS, and API integration. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive innovation and efficiency in a hybrid work model. The position is based on a day shift schedule with no travel requirements. Required Skills Mainframe Utilities, Mainframes Modernization, Mainframe API, IBM Mainframe Utilities, Mainframe CICS Responsibilities Lead the planning and execution of Mainframe Modernization projects to enhance system capabilities and performance. Oversee the integration of Mainframe APIs to ensure seamless communication between systems. Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams to achieve project objectives efficiently. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement Mainframe Utilities improvements. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in Mainframe CICS operations. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines and budget constraints. Develop and maintain project documentation to ensure transparency and accountability. Facilitate communication between stakeholders to align project goals with business objectives. Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize Mainframe operations and reduce costs. Support the development of technical solutions that enhance system reliability and scalability. Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance Mainframe capabilities and support business growth. Provide mentorship and support to team members to foster a culture of learning and innovation. Qualifications Possess extensive experience in Mainframe Utilities and Mainframe Modernization techniques. Demonstrate proficiency in Mainframe CICS and API integration for seamless system operations. Exhibit strong project management skills with a focus on strategic planning and execution. Have a proven track record of successful project delivery within budget and time constraints. Show excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
