We are looking foradedicated, personable, hands-onControllerseeking a dynamic opportunity to guide our clients and providetransformative accounting services.Successful candidates must be comfortableworkingwith multiple clients both virtually and on-site.TheControllerwill interact with clients, their staff, Board ofDirectors,and Finance Committees on a regular basis.ResponsibilitiesServe as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple non-profit clients. Your responsibilities would include:Transforming nonprofitclientfinancial departmentstohelp themmeettheir mission!Financialreporting formanagement andBoarddecisionmakingand presentationsRecommendingandimplementingimprovements toaccounting, operations, internal controls,andcompliancepolicies andprocedures,supportingclient strategyand best practicesTransactionalactivitiesincluding accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing),andpayroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month-end close,andmaintainingworkpapersAnalysisand datavisualization, budgeting andforecastingGrant management, allocations, and funder reportingPrepare for and manage annual audit Client and staff training opportunitiesQualificationsBachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance7+ years of progressive accounting experience required; Recent nonprofit accounting experience, strongly preferredPassion for supporting nonprofit organizations and their missionsDemonstrated expertise in nonprofit accounting, financial reporting, and complianceProven ability to serve as a trusted advisor, proactively identify issues, and recommend solutionsStrong leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills, with the confidence to lead conversations and influence outcomesAbility to manage multiple clients, work independently, and thrive in a hybrid environmentDemonstrated strong Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with multiple general ledger systems, particularly QuickBooks, and electronic bill payment platformsPublic accounting experience, and/or consulting experience preferredCPA certification is a plusBilingual-English/Spanish a plusOur employees are expected to work during normal business hours to best serve our clientsYPTC OffersA Best Place to Work! Total compensation may increase with overtime pay and eligibility for various bonuses. A professional development reimbursement and technology stipend are also provided on an annual basis.
