Job Summary:
The ICU Cardiovascular (ICU OH) travel assignment is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, within the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients with a focus on cardiac surgical and medical conditions, as well as occasional adult medical intensive care overflow. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of shift.

Job Details:

• Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Oklahoma (OK) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand, minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with arterial line management, chest tube procedures, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, renal failure management, continuous intravenous sedation, stroke management, Continuous Veno-Venous Hemodiafiltration (CVVHD)/Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Impella, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV insulin protocols, multisystem organ failure management, PICC line management, procedural sedation, sheath removal, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to similar units such as Medical Surgical ICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU, based on facility needs.
• Additional Information: The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The patient census averages 20, and the unit has 24 beds and rooms. The unit handles a mix of cardiac surgical and medical patients, with occasional overflow from medical intensive care. Vaccines for COVID-19 and influenza are required.
