Payroll Specialist

Are you an experienced payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment? We are partnering with a well-established client seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their accounting team.


This is a great opportunity for someone with strong in-house payroll experience who is comfortable managing a large amount of payroll data, working across multiple locations and states, and keeping up with a busy weekly payroll cycle.

What You'll Do

• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
• Maintain payroll information for new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and other updates
• Handle payroll taxes and required weekly, quarterly, and year-end filings
• Process employee expense reimbursements
• Assist with benefits-related payroll updates and deductions
• Provide payroll documentation for audits
• Partner with HR, Accounting, and employees across multiple locations
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions
• Support other payroll and accounting-related responsibilities as needed

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of payroll experience
• Strong in-house payroll processing experience
• Experience working with high-volume payroll
• Multi-location and/or multi-state payroll experience
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment with weekly deadlines
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Vista Viewpoint experience is a plus
• Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience
