Beacon Hill is partnering with a nonprofit arts and cultural organization seeking a Development Assistant for a temporary assignment. This role will work closely with the Development leadership team to assist with donor stewardship, gift processing, reporting, event coordination, and day-to-day departmental support.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and track donor contributions, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and timely acknowledgments

• Prepare donor correspondence, stewardship materials, and other fundraising communications

• Maintain donor records and assist with database management

• Generate reports, donor lists, and fundraising analytics as needed

• Conduct donor and prospect research to support development initiatives

• Assist with the creation and distribution of fundraising materials and collateral

• Manage department calendars, schedules, and meeting logistics

• Coordinate committee meetings, prepare materials, and document meeting notes

• Respond to donor inquiries and provide exceptional customer service

• Support fundraising events, donor engagement activities, and other special events

• Assist with general administrative functions including filing, data entry, mailings, and document management

• Collaborate with internal teams to support departmental goals and organizational initiatives

Qualifications

• 0-2+ years of administrative, coordinator, or support experience in a professional office environment

• Prior experience supporting fundraising, nonprofit, arts, or membership-based organizations is preferred

• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrated customer service and relationship-building abilities

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Experience working with donor databases, CRM platforms, or fundraising systems is a plus

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
