Manager, Analytical Engineer

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Manager of Analytical Engineering to design, build, and maintain data models and infrastructure supporting enterprise analytics. This role bridges data engineering and analytics, focusing on scalable architecture, data governance, and enabling self-service analytics across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and deliver data products enabling informed decision-making
- Develop centralized data layer and incorporate domain-specific data marts into foundational core infrastructure
- Design and maintain dimensional data models including fact tables, dimensions, and slowly changing dimensions
- Harmonize data across manufacturing sites and platforms following governed metadata frameworks and documentation standards
- Define orchestration strategies and implement quality frameworks to ensure accurate, timely data delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Physics, Math, Data Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or Engineering
- 4–6 years of relevant work experience in data engineering or analytics
- Proficiency with SQL and scripting languages such as Python or R
- Working knowledge of DAG-based and asset-based pipeline design patterns
- Experience with version control systems and Agile development methodologies
- Hands-on experience with dbt and familiarity with Databricks, JIRA, Confluence, or ServiceNow
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
Compensation: $116,450–$141,110 base
