Alamo PTAC is a long-standing, trusted provider of PTAC (Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner) unit sales, repair, and warranty services. Based in Rockport, TX, we serve commercial properties, hotels, and residential clients across the Texas coast. As an old, well-established company, we take pride in our steady work volume, tight-knit culture, and solid reputation in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostic, maintenance, and warranty repair services on PTAC air conditioning units.
- Process and complete factory warranty claims accurately according to manufacturer standards.
- Safe recovery, handling, and charging of refrigerants in strict compliance with EPA regulations.
- Provide clear communication to property managers, business owners, and residential clients regarding repairs and system upkeep.
- Travel to customer locations throughout the local service territory.
- Maintain proper inventory of service parts, tools, and equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Proven hands-on experience in PTAC and HVAC repair/diagnostics.
- Warranty Experience: Familiarity with factory PTAC warranty processes and repairs preferred.
- EPA Certification: EPA Universal or Type II Universal certification required for proper refrigerant recovery.
- Valid Driver’s License: Clean driving record
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with electrical schematics, motor replacements, compressor testing, and closed-loop system troubleshooting.
- Work Ethic: Strong problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and reliable attendance.
