Field Technician (Electrical / Mechanical)
Location: St. Louis, MO (travel required)
Travel: Local and domestic
Overview
We are looking for a highly hands-on Field Technician with a strong background in electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems to support installation, startup, and troubleshooting of custom industrial equipment.
This role is best suited for someone who can hit the ground running , work independently in the field, and confidently troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites for equipment installation, startup, and service
- Perform electrical wiring and mechanical assembly based on schematics
- Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic blueprints
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems (diagnostics only, no programming required)
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Support commissioning and ensure equipment is fully operational
- Act as a technical point of contact for customers in the field
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Electrical wiring & controls
- Mechanical assembly
- Hydraulics & pneumatics
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery and PLC systems
- Comfortable working independently in a travel-based role
- Strong communication skills in customer-facing environments
Preferred:
- 2-year technical degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, etc.)
Compensation
- Salary: $75,000+ (based on experience)
- Bonus: Quarterly profit-based bonus
- Full-time, salaried
