Are you a licensed audiologist seeking a role focused on assessments?
Do you find fulfillment in supporting the Veteran community?
Our organization is in search of an audiologist to conduct medical evaluations for United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Veterans will submit their claims prior to your appointment. All relevant medical records will be accessible through a digital portal for your review during the session. You will administer both the Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. Additionally, you will complete a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) within the portal, which serves as the medical documentation necessary for the VA to determine the benefits for the veteran.
Please note that the audiologist will not be responsible for prescribing any medical treatments or devices.
This role typically involves reviewing and assessing an average of 3 to 6 Veterans each day.
Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time
This is an IN-PERSON position that provides: 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes for each patient. There are no evening shifts, on-call duties, weekends, or hearing aid sales involved.
Requirements
We are looking for an audiologist who:
- Possesses an Au.D. and has graduated from an ASHA-accredited institution.
- Holds a valid audiologist license.
- Meets the credentialing standards established by the VA.
