Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Hospital

Speech Language Pathologist Schedule Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day. Assignment Duration This is an 8-week contract position starting around mid to end of September. Job Description The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans according to patients' needs and physician direction. The role demands a commitment to maintaining professional standards, patient safety, and compliance with organizational policies. Responsibilities Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients. Utilize clinical reasoning for developing appropriate treatment plans focused on patient progress toward discharge. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge, including equipment trials and family training. Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions effectively. Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to standards and guidelines. Participate in student program activities, providing supervision and support as needed. Engage in professional development and advocacy efforts within the community. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association. BLS Certification. One or more years of clinical experience.
