About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13-26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active nursing license Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support Must-Have: - Experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry - Ability to manage dysrhythmias - Proficient in blood product administration - Experience with IV insulin protocols and colostomy care - Ability to perform phlebotomy and PICC line management - Familiarity with wound care and isolation precautions Description: RTO (Request Time Off) after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO in the unit could possibly result in a cancellation. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster. Staff will be assigned to work within a floating staffing model as needed. The target patient ratio is 1:5-6. Float requirements are necessary within designated units. Weekend work may be required, typically 12-16 shifts per contract. Patients may present with diagnoses such as dementia, diabetes, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, and GI bleed. The unit has an isolation area for COVID patients and provides multi-level care. Staffing includes a variety of interdisciplinary support teams. Medication and documentation systems utilized include Pyxis and Epic. All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to start. Candidates must be flexible in floating within or near the facility as per job requirements.
