Job Title: Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Tele
Location: Neptune, NJ
Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks (With High Possibility of Extension or Permanent Placement)
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts Per Week | 36 Hours Weekly | Every Other Weekend Required | 3 of 6 Observed Holidays Required | Floating Required | No On-Call Requirement
Pay Rate:
Local: $1,950 - $2,050/Week
Travel: $2,300 - $2,400/Week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Tele for an exciting Contract opportunity in Neptune, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.

• Assess, plan, implement, and document individualized nursing care plans.

• Identify patient needs and establish priorities through ongoing assessment and evaluation.

• Coordinate and manage care for assigned patients.

• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and monitor patient outcomes.

• Document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and professional nursing standards.

• Advocate for evidence-based nursing practice and quality patient outcomes.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Provide patient-centered care consistent with professional nursing practice standards.

• Float to other units as required based on staffing needs and competency.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Compact RN License required.

• BLS (American Heart Association) Certification required.

• ACLS Certification required.

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification required.

• Telemetry Certification required.

• CEU Contact Stroke Certification (4 Hours) required.

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit within a major acute care hospital required.

• Strong Medical-Surgical and Telemetry background.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
