Starting Pay: $34.80/Hour \n
\n
Sign On Bonus: $1000, $500 payable after 90 days on job, $500 payable after 180 days on job. \n
\n
$1000 Retention Bonus payable after 365 days on job. \n
\n
Shift: \n
\n
2nd Shift 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm, Monday - Friday \n
\n
3rd Shift 11:00 pm - 7:00 am, Sunday - Thursday \n
\n
Overtime based on business needs. \n
\n
\nAs a Maintenance - Mechanic, you will be a critical part of the production team, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are performing at top notch! Your work will directly affect people's lives! \n
\n
Key Responsibilities \n
\n

\n
• Repair, modify and install equipment or machinery to maintain and operate the facility.
\n
• Repair sophisticated equipment building systems by diagnosing problems and replacing or repairing parts.
\n
• Perform preventative maintenance on belts, piping, filters, mixers, valves, bearings, motors, gear boxes, dies, extruders, feeders, rolls, drive chains, classifiers, mills, and mechanical seals and pumps.
\n
• Work in confined spaces, elevated platforms, ladders, scaffolding and roofs.
\n
• Perform all tasks associated with troubleshooting equipment and proof test equipment as necessary to solve problems and pro- actively prevent them.
\n
• Promote and utilize 5-S standards for the line to improve efficiency, cleanliness and safety.
\n
• Perform all tasks associated with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
\n
• Recognize problems, identify root causes and develop options to address the root cause within time constraints, and select and implement appropriate solutions.
\n
• Accurately maintains records and reports as required.
\n
• Work from detailed technical documents, blueprints, and schematics
\n
• May observe production machines in assigned areas of manufacturing facility to detect malfunctions.
\n
• Basic welding and fabrication
\n

Qualifications \n
\n

\n
• Five years of previous Industrial Maintenance experience, preferably in a chemical facility.
\n
• Certified Maintenance Apprenticeship Program or Mechanical Institute Certificate.
\n
• Experience in pump and gearbox rebuilds.
\n
• HVAC or Electrical experience strongly preferred.
\n
• Ability to read, interpret and understand technical documents/manuals and CAD drawings of plant equipment.
\n
• Ability to perform work in confined space, work at various heights, lifting and manual labor.
\n
• Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel software, MicroMain,SAP,or similar CMMS Operating systems.
\n
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including a respirator.
\n
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
\n
• Have good attendance and safety record.
\n
