Travel RN – Acute Care

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse provides safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care while promoting quality outcomes and patient satisfaction. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care.

The RN also supervises licensed and non-licensed staff, delegates appropriately, supports patient/family education, and contributes to quality improvement and evidence-based nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments.
• Develop, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care.
• Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide and evaluate patient/family education throughout the stay and at discharge.
• Delegate and supervise tasks performed by licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Serve as a mentor/preceptor and promote effective teamwork.
• Participate in quality, safety, service improvement, and practice governance initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Requirements

• 2 years of acute care RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
• Active Registered Nurse license
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• PALS required
• NIHSS required
