Sales Manager, Moet Hennessy CPWS - Central Texas

Company: Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits Location: Austin, TX Type: Sales Job Overview The Sales Manager develops and leads a team of Area Managers and Sales Consultants representing Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits in a large territory. Responsibilities include managing commercial sales forces, developing marketing strategies, building customer relationships, executing sales plans, and coordinating supplier relationships. Primary Responsibilities Lead, develop, and manage a team of Area Managers or Sales Consultants; define expectations, monitor progress, and counsel when objectives are not met. Implement strategic sales plans to achieve company and supplier goals. Conduct sales meetings and product presentations, train and motivate the team. Receive, reconcile and communicate supplier goals and internal objectives. Direct sales development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing territories, quotas, and goals. Coach sales consultants and managers on effective utilization of the CRM system and eCommerce tools. Build a pipeline of opportunities in the CRM and eCommerce platforms. Call on key accounts in the designated territory/region and collaborate on sales strategies. Collaborate with key accounts to improve the distribution of products. Embed the adoption of new tools, technologies, and processes. Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of demonstrated management experience. Comprehensive understanding of wine and spirits, including regions, varietals, and pairings. Ability to communicate enthusiasm for the product and category. Knowledge of product features and attributes; ability to execute product line strategies. Proficiency in executing measurable sales opportunities (e.g., cold box, floor, shelf, pricing, wine list, BTG execution). Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. Strong organizational and time‑management skills to meet goals. Ability to work with all levels of employees. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Must be at least 21 years of age. Physical Demands May require sitting and typing, walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping for considerable periods. May require driving up to 2 hours and lifting up to 48 lbs.
