divh2Combo Welder/h2pA Combo Welder will weld, fabricate and assist pipe fitters, electricians, millwrights, and ironworks in the installation of varying types of equipment and supports for industrial pipe, structural, electrical and mechanical systems./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliSelects equipment and plans layouts, assembly, and welding applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques./liliLayout, position, aligns, cut, assemble, and fit metal components together in various body positions and in various places./liliBolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding./liliSets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas arc welding equipment./liliWeld metal materials to piping systems equipment using the appropriate welding procedure for the various equipment and metal types involved./liliIdentify all equipment for job and process./liliIdentify all safety risks and requirements./li/ulpOther duties as assigned/ph3Qualifications/h3pstrongQualification Highlights/strong/pulliMust successfully pass a weld test./liliMust have 4+ years of industrial welding experience./liliMust have all required knowledge, skills, and abilities./liliMust be able to meet all physical requirements./liliMust have all the tools/liliOther Duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongRequired Qualifications/strong/pulliMust be able to read blueprints and other engineering drawings in order to perform efficiently work./liliMust be able to read and interpret technical manuals as applicable./liliMust have 4+ years of experience welding experience on industrial size and grade equipment/liliMust have a thorough knowledge of various metals characteristic and qualities including the correct welding processes required and the effects of welding on the material./liliMust successfully pass a weld test./liliMust have experience welding multiple types of material possibly including but not limited to: carbon steel, Fluxcore, stainless, aluminum and chrome./liliMust be and willing to assist with other activities while not actively welding./liliMust have reliable transportation./liliMust be able to work at heights as required./liliMust meet all physical demands (see section below)./li/ulpstrongPreferred Additional Qualification/strong/pulliCurrent Zachry or Zachry ROFed employee./liliFormer experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc./liliPrevious experience in this position with Zachry Industrial, Inc./liliCurrent Zachry Certification (all welders will be required to re-test)/li/ulpstrongPhysical Requirements/strong/pulliEmployee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting./liliWill talk and hear to communicate./liliWill use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools./liliMay be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs./liliWill work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements./liliMust be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE./liliWill be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots./li/ulpstrongRequired Tool lists: to be provided/strong/ph3Job Info/h3ulliJob Identification 13677/liliJob Category Welder/liliLocations 602 Copper Rd, Freeport, TX, 77541, US/liliJob Schedule Full time/li/ul/div
