Outside Sales Representative

Bossier City, LA, $40,000 - $95,000 a year Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to develop new business and maintain strong relationships with existing customers. The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying prospective customers, understanding their business needs, presenting appropriate office technology and document solutions, and developing long-term customer relationships. This position requires a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working independently, managing a sales territory, and consistently pursuing new business opportunities. Prospect for and develop new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, community involvement, and other lead-generation activities. Identify businesses that may benefit from copiers, multifunction printers, document management, scanning, workflow, and related technology solutions. Schedule and conduct face-to-face meetings with prospective and existing customers. Assess customers’ current equipment, workflows, and business needs to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop customized solutions based on customer requirements and budget. Prepare accurate, detailed proposals and quotes with correct equipment configurations, pricing, terms, and options. Present products and solutions in a professional and consultative manner. Conduct product demonstrations and coordinate demonstrations with appropriate internal resources when necessary. Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers. Maintain regular contact with existing customers to identify additional needs and opportunities. Follow up consistently on proposals, leads, appointments, and opportunities. Maintain accurate and current customer and sales information in the company CRM. Manage the sales process from initial prospecting through closing and installation. Work closely with service, administration, and management teams to ensure a smooth customer experience. Stay informed about copier, printer, document-management, workflow, and related technology offerings. Meet or exceed established sales goals and activity expectations. Participate in sales meetings, training, and company events. Represent the company professionally in the business community. Qualifications Previous outside sales experience preferred; experience in copier, office technology, business solutions, telecommunications, technology, or B2B sales is a plus. Proven ability to prospect for and develop new business. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships with business owners, executives, managers, and other decision-makers. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Comfortable making cold calls and initiating conversations with prospective customers. Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail. Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into appropriate solutions. Professional appearance and demeanor. Valid driver's license and clean driving record Basic computer skills and the ability to learn CRM and other sales technology.
