Arcadian Services  is now hiring a Shipping Supervisor  in our Florence, Alabama location!

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Shipping Supervisor to oversee daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. This role is responsible for supervising a small team, managing inventory movement, and ensuring materials are handled safely and accurately.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience/shipping/receiving experience preferred
• 2+ years of forklift experience required
• Experience in handling hazardous materials is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Excel
• CDL is a plus
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and move throughout warehouse environment
• Comfortable operating warehouse equipment and working in a fast-paced setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support a team of 2-3 employees
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, and material transfers between facilities
• Prepare orders for shipment and ensure accurate documentation
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and bills of lading
• Work with freight carriers to schedule shipments and obtain freight rates
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
• Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
• Assist with inventory counts and warehouse transfers
• Train employees and provide feedback
• Ensure compliance with company safety and environmental policies
• Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams
