Business Development Coordinator (Houston)

We are seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support a dynamic Business Development and Marketing team in a fast-paced law firm environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who enjoys collaborating with attorneys and business professionals to support client development, marketing initiatives, events, communications, and firm visibility efforts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Business Development Support Assist with the development of client pitches, proposals, presentations, and other business development materials. Draft and update attorney bios, practice descriptions, announcements, and marketing collateral. Support the creation of internal and external communications, including newsletters and client-facing materials. Proofread and edit marketing content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality. Events & Client Engagement Assist in coordinating logistics for client events, sponsorships, and firm-hosted programs. Assist with invitation management, RSVP tracking, vendor coordination, event materials, on-site support, and post-event follow-up. Practice Group Support Maintain and update practice group content, representative matters, and attorney experience information. Support submissions for industry rankings, awards, and directories, including Chambers and other legal publications. Help manage local and industry memberships and sponsorship commitments. CRM & Website Management Assist with maintaining the firm's CRM and experience databases through data entry, updates, and list management. Update website content, including attorney biographies, news items, publications, presentations, and practice descriptions. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in law firm, professional services, or media environment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail. Experience with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, or website content management systems is a plus. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is preferred. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
