Account Manager – HVAC Equipment & Supplies

Bridgeport, CT | $25–$35/Hour DOE | Full-Time | Permanent

A leading HVAC & Plumbing equipment and supplies distribution company is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join its team in the Bridgeport, CT area . This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a sales and customer-service professional who understands the HVAC, plumbing, mechanical construction, or building-supply industry and enjoys developing long-term customer relationships.

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with HVAC and plumbing contractors, mechanical contractors, service companies, and other trade professionals. This position combines account management, customer service, product knowledge, and sales development in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with existing HVAC and plumbing contractor accounts
• Identify opportunities to grow sales within assigned accounts and territory
• Develop new customer relationships and generate additional business
• Assist customers with HVAC and plumbing equipment, parts, supplies, and product selections
• Prepare quotes, follow up on customer inquiries, and help coordinate orders
• Work closely with inside sales, counter sales, warehouse, purchasing, and management teams
• Maintain regular communication with customers regarding products, pricing, availability, and upcoming needs
• Provide knowledgeable, responsive, and professional customer service
• Stay current on HVAC and plumbing products, equipment, industry trends, and customer needs

Qualifications

• Previous HVAC, plumbing, mechanical construction, wholesale distribution, or building-supply experience strongly preferred
• Previous account management, outside sales, inside sales, counter sales, or customer-service experience
• Knowledge of HVAC and/or plumbing equipment, parts, and supplies is highly desirable
• Strong relationship-building and customer-service skills
• Ability to identify sales opportunities and develop new business
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
• Comfortable working with contractors, technicians, business owners, purchasing professionals, and project managers
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong computer and basic business software skills

Compensation & Opportunity

This position offers $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience , along with the stability and career potential of joining a leading HVAC & Plumbing distribution organization.
