Child Nutrition Bookkeeper

BESSEMER CITY SCHOOLS CENTRAL OFFICE SECRETARY (CHILD NUTRITION PROGRAM) TITLE: Central Office Secretary (Child Nutrition Program) REPORTS TO: Supervisor/Director JOB GOALS: To complete the detail and written work and to coordinate other matters essential to the efficiency and effectiveness of the administrative supervisor. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: * Takes and transcribes dictation of various types, including correspondence, reports, notices, and recommendations. * Obtains, gathers, and organizes pertinent data as needed, and puts it into usable form. * Maintains a regular filing system, as well as a set of locked confidential files if needed, and processes incoming correspondence as instructed. * Places and receives telephone calls, and records messages. * Orders and maintains supplies as needed. * Performs any bookkeeping tasks associated with the specific position. * Maintains a schedule of appointments and makes arrangements for conferences and interviews. * Welcomes visitors and arranges for their comfort and screens unexpected callers in accordance with predetermined policy. * Performs such other office duties as may be assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be established by the Board. Salary in adherence and compliance with approved salary schedule. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
