Travel Registered Nurse - Telemetry

The position involves floating throughout a designated zone, covering multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius. The nurse will work with a diverse adult and geriatric patient population. Common patient diagnoses include cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal, and post-surgical patients. Nurse-to-patient ratios will range from 1:5 to 1:6 based on patient acuity. The role may require the nurse to titrate drips and manage various medical equipment. Charge nurses are designated for each unit but will only take patient assignments if necessary, particularly during night shifts. Weekend shifts of 6-9 are required within a 6-week schedule. All requests for time off must be submitted prior to starting the assignment. The nurse may be asked to float across different acuity levels, including ICU, PCU, and MS-Tele. Shifts are typically scheduled 4-6 weeks in advance and may vary based on operational needs. The position may entail rare call or standby requirements for low census situations. This role provides an opportunity to work in various specialties within acute care settings.
