Employment Litigation Attorney (Trial Experience)
Position Summary
Seeking an Employment Litigation Attorney with 3 years of experience handling employment disputes through all phases of litigation, including trial. The ideal candidate is a strategic advocate with strong research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom skills who can independently manage a caseload while providing excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employment litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal.
- Represent clients in state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration.
- Handle pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
- Take and defend depositions; prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and trial.
- Advise clients on employment law compliance and risk management.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff on litigation strategy.
- Maintain client communication and meet billable hour expectations.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active state bar license in good standing.
- 3 years of employment litigation experience.
- Trial experience.
- Experience discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, leave and accommodation, and employment contract matters.
- Strong legal writing, advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills.
