Branch Manager

Position Purpose The Branch Manager - Greenfield at the Company is responsible for spearheading the launch and operational management of a new branch, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and commitment to excellence. The Branch Manager leads branch operations to deliver exceptional customer service and operational efficiency, driving financial performance through effective budgeting, resource allocation, market expansion and revenue generation efforts. By fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring compliance and safety standards, the Branch Manager strengthens the Company’s reputation for service, operational success, and strategic sales partnerships. Key Responsibilities Drive strategic initiatives by aligning branch growth initiatives with corporate objectives to enhance market presence and competitive positioning. Conduct comprehensive assessments of current branch operations, identify areas for improvement, and apply industry best practices to optimize processes, elevate productivity, and minimize costs. Provide financial oversight, including P&L management, instituting rigorous financial controls and strategies to enhance profitability and secure sustainable revenue growth. Lead sales growth by devising and executing strategic sales plans, fostering strong customer relationships, and steering the sales team toward surpassing sales and market share goals. Enhance customer experience by prioritizing high‑quality service, integrating customer‑centric policies, and fostering robust partnerships with key customers and stakeholders. Champion change management by fostering innovation, facilitating change, and implementing new processes and technologies to drive branch evolution. Develop and guide a high‑performing team by promoting a supportive and inclusive environment, implementing talent development strategies, and preparing succession plans for sustained branch growth. Uphold legal, regulatory, and safety standards across branch operations, ensuring an environment that prioritizes employee safety and well‑being while adhering to industry compliance regulations. Direct Manager – Direct Reports Reports directly to the regional manager and is responsible for managing a team of direct reports, including sales, operations, and administrative staff, with the objective to drive branch transformation and performance improvement. Travel Requirements Required to travel as needed to oversee branch operations, conduct site visits, attend vendor events, conduct independent and joint sales calls, and attend regional meetings and training sessions to ensure effective leadership and operational alignment. Physical Requirements The role primarily involves working in an office environment with the ability to sit for extended periods, engage in computer‑based tasks, attend meetings, move throughout the branch, and occasionally lift materials and equipment up to 75 pounds. The position may require traveling to different branch locations and customer worksites, including driving or flying as needed. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably in building products, roofing, or distribution industries. Proven track record of achieving operational and sales targets. Strong leadership, analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP/distribution software preferred. Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements. Strong expertise in P&L management, budgeting, and financial analysis. Demonstrated capability in implementing operational best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Proficiency in devising and executing sales strategies, market analysis, and customer relationship management. Experience in expanding market share and driving revenue growth. Demonstrated ability to champion a culture of continuous improvement and effectively manage change. Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and safety standards pertinent to branch operations. Preferred Qualifications Experience in driving transformational change within branch or regional turnarounds in the building products industry. Advanced proficiency in strategic planning and implementation, aligning branch operations with broader corporate objectives. Extensive knowledge of market dynamics and competitive landscape in the construction and building products sector. Track record of successful stakeholder engagement and relationship management, including negotiating complex agreements with suppliers and key customers. Experience in workforce planning and development, leading and coaching cross‑functional teams through periods of change and operational improvement. Strong commitment to fostering a culture of safety, inclusivity, and continuous learning. Proven capability in project management and process optimization, leveraging innovative solutions to address operational challenges. Experience in utilizing digital tools and platforms for operational and customer data analysis. High degree of adaptability and resilience in dynamic business environments. Minimum Education A bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or equivalent industry experience. Masters degree preferred. Certifications No required certifications. Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Manager (CM) are a plus.
