HIM Assistant
Fairview Hospital / Cleveland Clinic
Role: HIM Assistant responsible for supporting medical recordkeeping and clerical duties within a healthcare facility. Responsibilities: Ensure accurate patient admission documentation, verify transfer data, maintain patient records with correct identifiers, and monitor the completeness and accuracy of electronic health records (EHR). Assist medical staff in updating and scanning documents into the EHR, conduct quality assurance on scanned forms, and collaborate with various departments to ensure data integrity. Qualifications & Skills: 1-3 years of healthcare information experience preferred; certifications such as CCS, CCA, or CPC-A are advantageous. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-10-CM coding, and medical record systems is required. Attributes include professionalism, accuracy, neatness, and strong communication skills.
