Budget Analyst
If selected for the position, you will serve as a Budget Analyst in the Administrative Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Duties include:
- Enter obligations, amendments, deliverables and actions into the official financial system.
- Review obligations, expenditures, and unobligated orders for available balances.
- Apply budgetary policies, regulations, and analytical techniques to evaluate funding requirements and monitor budget execution.
- Prepare district budget requests.
- Maintain accurate and effective budget submissions to reflect needs of the district.
- Prepare justifications for recommended allocation levels.
- Review and analyze program funding requirements.
- Participate in identifying future resource requirements and developing future budget requirements.
- Process travel authorizations, foreign travel packages, and travel vouchers/claims.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
