Healthcare Administrative Collector (Contract)

Location: Dallas, TX Schedule: Monday Friday (Day Shift)

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Collector to provide clerical and insurance follow-up support to assist in the timely collection of outstanding balances. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate documentation, effective communication, and efficient processing of account-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support, including receiving, sorting, and distributing correspondence from payors and agencies
• Respond to basic requests such as providing itemized bills and documentation required for payment processing
• Document all account activity clearly and accurately in system notes
• Contact patients, insurance carriers, and internal departments to obtain necessary information and update accounts
• Assist with insurance follow-up activities to support collections efforts
• Track productivity and provide reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as required
• Identify and communicate issues impacting the collection process to leadership
• Support departmental reporting and assist with special projects as needed
• Maintain professional relationships with internal teams, patients, and external partners
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills in all interactions

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required

• Experience in collections, administrative support, or healthcare revenue cycle preferred
• Familiarity with insurance follow-up or billing processes is a plus
