Water Engineer

Location: San Antonio or Castroville, Texas Shape the Future of Texas Water Infrastructure Are you a Water/Wastewater Engineer ready to take ownership of impactful infrastructure projects while helping develop the next generation of engineers? We're partnering with an established, employee-owned engineering consultancy that's continuing to invest in its Texas Water team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer who enjoys leading projects, building strong client relationships, and delivering innovative solutions that make a lasting impact on communities across the state. What You'll Be Doing You’ll lead the delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects from initial planning through design, permitting, construction, and project close‑out. Your responsibilities will include: Leading the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Preparing and reviewing engineering reports, calculations, plans and technical specifications. Managing project schedules, budgets and deliverables while maintaining exceptional quality standards. Coordinating with regulatory agencies, clients, contractors and internal multidisciplinary teams. Supporting permitting, bidding and construction administration activities. Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the continued growth of the team. Assisting with proposals, client presentations and business development activities across public and private sector projects. What We're Looking For Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline. 8+ years of experience delivering water and wastewater engineering projects. Strong knowledge of hydraulic modelling, water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems. Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, GIS and related engineering software. Excellent communication, leadership and client management skills. Texas PE License preferred, or the ability to obtain licensure. Experience with water treatment or wastewater treatment facilities would be highly advantageous. What's On Offer Competitive salary of $110,000-$140,000 depending on experience.
