Location: St. Louis, Missouri (Remote)
Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

The Clinical Informatics Specialist will support EHR-based initiatives focused on improving workflows and technology solutions for specific patient populations. This role partners with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to conduct discovery, document workflows, and inform system design and optimization efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct discovery and document clinical and operational workflows.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements.
  • Support EHR initiatives across ambulatory and acute care settings.
  • Translate business and clinical needs into functional requirements and recommendations.
  • Support implementation activities including validation, testing, and workflow alignment.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Provide project and program management support as needed.
Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree in healthcare, informatics, information systems, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in clinical informatics, healthcare IT, or healthcare project/program management is necessary. This includes experience supporting EHR initiatives in ambulatory and/or acute settings and working within a provider healthcare environment.

Skills: Candidates must possess workflow analysis and documentation skills, along with communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. The capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment is also required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Medicaid and Medicare programs.
  • Experience with workflow optimization or care management initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating across clinical, operational, and technical teams.
Additional Information

The candidate must be comfortable with occasional onsite travel if requested.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $50.00 and $60.00 per hour. Please note that the final rate may be negotiable and may vary based on experience and qualifications.
