Social Media Specialist Position OverviewWe are looking for a proactive Social Media Specialist to own and grow our brand presence across paid and organic social channels. This role will develop content strategy and calendars, create and optimize engaging content and video, manage community and influencer relationships, run paid social campaigns, and measure performance to drive awareness, engagement, and direct-to-consumer sales. The ideal candidate combines creative storytelling with strong analytics and experience in beauty, ecommerce, and platform-specific best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy and content calendar tailored to beauty audiences across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X (Twitter), Pinterest, Snapchat, and LinkedIn.Plan, produce, and publish high-quality organic and paid social content including static posts, Stories/Reels, short-form video, long-form video, motion graphics, GIFs, and live streams.Own paid social campaigns end-to-end: audience strategy, creative testing, setup and optimization in Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, and other platform ad managers; implement Facebook Pixel and UTM tracking for accurate attribution.Manage day-to-day community management: monitor comments and DMs, escalate customer issues, and maintain brand voice while fostering meaningful engagement.Run influencer and creator outreach programs, coordinate creative briefs, manage deliverables, and track campaign performance through creator platforms and UTM tracking.Use social listening and social media analytics tools to monitor brand sentiment, competitive activity, and topical trends; translate insights into actionable recommendations.Perform A/B testing on creative, copy, targeting, and formats to improve CTR, engagement, and conversion metrics.Work closely with ecommerce, product, and marketing teams to support product launches, promotions, and on-site conversion through Shopify integrations and CRM platforms (HubSpot/Salesforce).Maintain and optimize SEO and hashtag strategies to increase discoverability and organic reach across platforms.Create and maintain KPI dashboards and regular performance reports using Google Analytics and social analytics tools; present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.Implement content repurposing and distribution strategies to maximize reach and ROI across channels and formats.Manage social scheduling, approvals, and publishing using tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, and Later.Collaborate with internal design and video teams or external agencies to deliver polished creative assets using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, and motion graphics tools.Qualifications3+ years of professional social media marketing experience, preferably in beauty, skincare, cosmetics, or lifestyle brands; experience with DTC/ecommerce is highly desirable.Proven track record managing organic and paid social campaigns across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter).Hands-on experience with Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, Facebook Pixel implementation, paid social advertising best practices, and UTM tracking.Analytical mindset with experience A/B testing creative and audiences, building KPI dashboards, and presenting performance insights; Excel competency required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a clear aesthetic sensibility for beauty-focused content.
