Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Summary:
Seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform point-of-care testing in a fast-paced emergency room setting. This role involves delivering accurate, timely lab results to support critical patient care operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical laboratory testing on various specimens with precision and efficiency.
• Operate and maintain point-of-care testing equipment according to established protocols.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout all laboratory procedures.
• Document testing processes and results accurately in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with ER staff to provide rapid and reliable lab data for patient management.
• Assemble and troubleshoot laboratory instruments as needed to ensure continuous operation.

Qualifications:

• Hold an MLS or MLT certification through ASCP or an equivalent credential.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent laboratory testing experience, preferably in an ER or acute care environment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in point-of-care testing and laboratory instrumentation.
• Maintain current licensing and certifications required for clinical laboratory practice.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Capable of working independently and efficiently during overnight shifts.
