Cleanroom Assembler - 2nd ShiftCrane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Cleanroom Assembler - 2nd Shift at our Lynnwood, WA location.Hours are Monday - Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm.Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets. Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics!Job SummaryThe Assembler I works under close supervision performing assigned assembly processes to manufacture Crane Aerospace & Electronics products in accordance with military standards, Food and Drug Administration standards, and/or other assembly standards using visual aids, verbal and/or written instructions.Essential FunctionsPerform assigned assembly tasksPrepare components prior to assembly, clean components, mark, and inspect components, subassemblies, or completed assembliesTest finished assembliesOperate assigned equipment and machinery (i.e.-Die Attach Machine, Wire Bonder, X-Ray Machine)Observe proper health and safety procedures in handling hazardous chemicalsIdentify and report to lead or supervisor any difficulty which would affect the correctness and quality of the work in processParticipate in cleaning of area and machinery and take part in team meetings for improvementPractice safe work habits as established by OSHA and Crane policyCross-train to work on at least one process within the cellComplete job-related company training coursesSupport Crane Business System (CBS) initiatives including 5S, Standard Work, and other initiatives as they ariseFlexible and willing to work overtime if necessaryAny other task assigned by supervisor or managementOperation of a Microscope (Up to 8 hours a day)Non-Essential FunctionsUnderstand and/or participate with internal/external auditsMay be required to repair/rework defective or returned assembliesMinimum QualificationsExperience: 2 - 5 years of Small Component Assembly experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goodsSkills: Strong verbal and written communication; Proficiency in reading comprehension (understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents) of the English language; Basic computer skills (understanding of basic software)Abilities: Accurate color vision, near vision, and depth perception and other vision capabilities required; Manipulative skills, including finger and manual dexterity; Adept hand-eye coordination and arm-hand steadiness; Ability to thoroughly interpret production or engineering prints, production planning information and assembly aids such as illustrations and wiring diagrams; Ability to work well in a moderate to high paced work environment in a high volume settingEducation/Certification: High School diploma or equivalentPreferred QualificationsIPC Soldering CertificationWorking ConditionsWorking conditions could include a Class 7 or 8 Cleanroom, or general manufacturing environmentUp to 8 hours of Microscope work dailyManufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPEMay be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumesStanding: 25%Sitting: 75%Lifting (in pounds): up to 40 poundsPushing (in pounds): up to 40 poundsMental/Visual: use of soldering equipment, microscopes/magnifying glassesWorkspace: assembly cellTop BenefitsAs a team member at Crane Aerospace and Electronics, you'll enjoy:Benefits: Health care, dental, vision, life and disability insurance starting the first day of the monthTime Off: 15 days of paid time off that start accruing your first day at Crane and 12 paid holidays per year.401k Retirement Plan: 401k plan with company matchEducation Reimbursement: eligible after 6 months of employmentCrane Co. reserves the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
