Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary learners as a Special Education Teacher in a FASE (Life Skills) classroom. This contract position is based onsite at a welcoming elementary school near the Garland, TX area, running from now through December 18th. You'll play a vital role in guiding students with diverse learning needs during a crucial period of their development.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Special Education Teacher Certification
• Must hold one of the following endorsements: Self-Contained, Core Subjects, or Generalist (corresponding to the appropriate grade levels)
• Experience supporting students in life skills or self-contained classrooms is highly desired
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Dedication to creating an inclusive, engaging, and structured learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and support to students in a FASE (Life Skills) setting
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Employ a variety of teaching strategies to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
• Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to team members and families
• Foster a classroom environment that promotes independence, respect, and a sense of belonging
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and compliance documentation as required
