Floor Packager – Job Summary

• Position: Floor Packager
• Schedule: Based on production needs; flexibility to work extra hours may be required
• Work Environment: Manufacturing/production setting

Job Statement:
The Floor Packager is responsible for safely and efficiently transferring finished liquid products from mixing tanks, holding tanks, and totes into final packaging such as drums, totes, and other containers. This role emphasizes value-added filling activities, ensuring tanks are emptied promptly once batches are approved. The position also supports production readiness through staging materials, cleaning totes, and coordinating with team members while demonstrating the core values of People First, Integrity, Grit, and Innovation.Floor Packager – Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S standards
• Prepare and stage packaging materials (drums, totes, pails, labels) ahead of production needs
• Verify accuracy of packaging and labeling based on batch and product requirements
• Clean, sanitize, and inspect totes and containers prior to use
• Assist in preparing multiple totes during downtime to maintain production readiness
• Safely transfer product from tanks and totes into designated containers using approved procedures
• Empty tanks promptly after QC approval to maintain production flow
• Monitor fill levels and product quality throughout packaging operations
• Communicate with Packaging Flow Coordinator and Material Handlers to ensure material availability and priorities are aligned
• Focus on value-added filling activities whenever packaging is ready
• Perform support tasks such as cleaning, staging, and labeling when not actively filling
• Report equipment issues, material shortages, or quality concerns immediately
• Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives for safety and efficiency
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent workflow and product quality

• Perform other duties as needed to support safe and efficient operations

Floor Packager – QualificationsRequired Skills and Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to operate filling and transfer equipment safely and efficiently
• Knowledge of packaging, labeling, and container handling
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Material Handlers and team members
• Understanding of cleaning procedures for totes, drums, and tanks
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to wear required PPE including respirator, gloves, and protective clothing
• Willingness to identify and suggest process improvements

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous packaging, filling, or manufacturing experience preferred
• On-the-job training provided

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Manual dexterity to handle hoses, valves, and container seals
• Exposure to chemical odors, humidity, and manufacturing noise
• Ability to tolerate temperature variations
• Perform repetitive motions as part of daily tasks
