We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join a professional office team. This full-time, temporary, in-office position is responsible for accurately reviewing and processing medical bills, ensuring compliance with applicable guidelines, and providing responsive service to customers, providers, and internal partners. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in medical billing, medical office administration, healthcare claims, or a related environment who enjoys detail-focused work.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Hours: Anticipated 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Work Setting: In-office

Compensation: $21-$26

Key Responsibilities for the Medical Billing Specialist:

• Review and process medical bills, verifying provider information, account numbers, dates of service, units, and other billing details for accuracy.
• Review bills for compliance with applicable state fee schedules and regulatory requirements and make adjustments when necessary.
• Research billing discrepancies and approve, deny, or route bills for additional review based on established procedures.
• Respond professionally to inquiries from customers, providers, and other parties regarding billing questions or documentation.
• Prepare correspondence requesting additional information or supporting documentation when needed.
• Maintain accurate records while consistently meeting processing deadlines, quality standards, and confidentiality requirements.
