Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical Surgical unit. Ensure patient safety, administer treatments, and monitor patient progress in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs and clinical condition.
• Document patient care and communicate updates to the healthcare team.
• Assist with procedures such as wound care, IV therapy, and wound vac management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care plans.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license for GA or Compact state at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• BLS certification required; NIH certification preferred.
• Proficient in the use of Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication tools.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and adapt to floating as needed.
