Associate Attorney - General Liability Defense

Note Candidates must have an active New York bar license and at least 2+ years of civil litigation experience. General liability defense experience is strongly preferred, and trial experience is a major plus. Job Description Manage a diverse caseload of general liability defense matters from inception through resolution. Handle personal injury, motor vehicle, property damage, construction and labor law, and product liability cases. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, reports, and legal memoranda. Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts. Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies. Appear in court, participate in conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and trials. Communicate regularly with clients, courts, opposing counsel, witnesses, and co‑counsel. Provide timely case updates, strategy recommendations, and litigation assessments. Work closely with partners, associates, and legal staff in a collaborative team environment. Manage files efficiently while meeting billing, budget, and client service expectations. Qualifications 2+ years of civil litigation experience required. 3+ years of general liability defense experience strongly preferred. Active New York bar license in good standing required. Experience with depositions, discovery, court appearances, and motion practice. Trial experience is a strong plus. Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
